Which vehicles can fit a dirt bike? Let’s find out!!!
Dirt biking, as enjoyable as it can be, does bring a few questions to the fore. How do you transport your bike to a track that is located a few miles away from home? Do you ride the bike through paved roads, or do you carry it on a vehicle?
Riding your bike to the track can expose you to legal hazards and unnecessary risks as well. Some states haven’t yet legalized traveling on a dirt bike within the streets. Thus, any attempts to do so can land you behind bars or with a hefty fine. Knowing the repercussions of riding your dirt bike to a trail, we now come to the question of which vehicles can fit a dirt bike inside them?
Dirt bikes can conveniently fit inside most trucks, vans, and a few SUVs. Most dirt bikes have a length of little over 7 feet and can be placed on a truck that can fit cargo of this type. However, it is always good to measure the length of your dirt bike and then choose a vehicle accordingly.

Fitting A Dirt Bike In Vans
An average dirt bike has a length of over 85.7 feet, which translates to a little over 7 feet. An average dirt bike can also weigh in excess of 100 kg, which is why it is hard to place inside a van that doesn’t have much space. Knowing the size, your dirt bike will probably not be easy to fit inside a normal van or a minivan. Also, since you cannot disassemble your dirt bikes, you have limited storage options available to you.
There are, however, vans that can help you in this endeavor. Cargo vans have excess space in the back and can easily carry your dirt bike and even that of your friends if you love dirt biking in a group.

Chevrolet Express Cargo
The Chevrolet Express Cargo comes with a massive trunk, which can come in handy for hauling your dirt bike to the track of your choice. The cargo space in the vehicle is enough for fitting in two bikes at one time even and can meet your requirements.
The cargo space for the Chevrolet Express Cargo is wide enough and long enough to fit your dirt bikes. The payload capacity is 1473 kg, which again is more than enough to fit two bikes. However, as would be the case with all vans, you will need loading ramps to get the job done without any damage or problems.

Ram Tradesman
The Ram Tradesman comes with full-size cargo space and has the functionality and the body of a minivan of sorts. Think of the Tradesman as a full-size cargo vehicle that can conventionally fit into small parking spaces meant for a minivan.
The Tradesman comes with a length of 203 inches and a width of 79 inches. The area is enough to fit at least two dirt bikes at one time, but we will recommend placing one, knowing that it can get a bit too cramped with two dirt bikes in the back. The payload capacity comes at 860 kg, which again is decent for two dirt bikes.
Besides the two mentioned here, you can also consider Toyota’s HiAce and Ram ProMaster City to haul your dirt bikes to the track.

What Are The Alternatives?
While investing in a new truck or an SUV can be a tad bit too expensive, you can invest in a hitch carrier as an alternative to the vehicles. Hitch carriers can interestingly be attached to your current mode of transportation, be it a sedan, truck, or van. Once you have attached the hitch carrier, you can use it as your source for transporting one or even two dirt bikes to the track.
Frequent bikers would know how handy the solutions we have mentioned in this article can be. Make sure you have a good time dirt biking by figuring out your methods of transportation ahead of time.
